 A water heater installation consists of:

  • Delivery of your new water heater and haul away of old unit
  • Disconnect and removal of existing water heater
  • Set up and secure new water heater in the same, unobstructed area
  • Connect your water heater to existing code-approved venting, electrical, gas and water supply lines (if upgrades need to be made to meet new code, additional charges may apply)
  • Leak and cycle test your new water heater
  • Final inspection and walk through that includes instructions for care, plus a test to ensure proper operation
  • Final clean up of all installation related debris

Same-day water heater installation is available Monday-Friday if requested before noon and you live within our service area.

 Our Service Coordinator may be able to approximate the total cost of the job and offer an estimate over the phone. However, our Plumbers will need to conduct an on-site inspection to ensure the installation will meet local code. Additional charges may apply. A final quote will be reviewed with you, and no work will begin until your approval is given. 

 

Our water heater installation pricing consists of four components:

1) Cost of Product
Unless you buy a new water heater in advance and ask us to install it separately, any in-home consultation that includes a replacement water heater install will have the product’s cost included.

2) Basic Installation
Our installation process consists of several basic tasks: delivery of a new hot water heater to your home, proper disconnection of the old unit, installation of the new unit, and proper testing to ensure the new hot water heater is installed correctly. Depending on code upgrades required and the complexity of the replacement, additional charges may apply.

3) Permit Charges
Permits are governed by local cities and municipalities and are required to ensure that a local plumbing inspector is dispatched to the site as a third party to review the installer’s work. This should ensure the installation was safely executed and is in line with all plumbing codes and standards. Permits are required on most water heater replacements and pricing varies by state, city and municipality. Our installers can review the permit process and cost with you.

4) Bringing the System up to Code
A final inspection of the installation will be completed to finish the replacement process.
